From Farm to Table: How Sampradaaya Foods Sources Its Ingredients
At Sampradaaya Foods, the journey of every product begins long before it reaches your kitchen. It starts in the farms, groves, and spice gardens of Telangana, where we carefully source the finest natural ingredients to create our authentic traditional foods.
Our Sourcing Philosophy
We believe that great food starts with great ingredients. That's why we work directly with local farmers and trusted suppliers who share our commitment to quality and sustainability. Every ingredient is selected for freshness, purity, and flavour — no compromises.
Key Ingredients and Their Sources
Mangoes for Avakaya: We source firm, sour raw mangoes from orchards in Telangana during peak season (April-May). Only the best quality mangoes make it into our pickles.
Red Chillies: Our chillies come from Guntur and Warangal districts, famous for producing some of India's finest red chillies with the perfect balance of heat and colour.
Cold-Pressed Oils: We use only cold-pressed sesame and groundnut oils from traditional oil mills (ghanis). These oils retain their natural antioxidants and flavour.
Jaggery: Our jaggery is sourced from small-scale producers who use traditional methods to process sugarcane, retaining all the natural minerals.
Rice and Lentils: We source heritage rice varieties and premium lentils from Telangana farmers for our sweets and snacks.
Quality Without Compromise
Every batch of ingredients undergoes quality checks for freshness, purity, and safety. We never use artificial colours, preservatives, or flavour enhancers. What you see on the label is exactly what's in the product — nothing more, nothing less.
Supporting Local Communities
By sourcing locally and working directly with farmers, we help sustain traditional farming practices and support rural communities in Telangana. When you buy from Sampradaaya Foods, you're not just getting authentic food — you're supporting a tradition and a community.
